- In Outlook, click File, click Account Settings, and then click Account Settings (again)
- Select the Microsoft Exchange account, and then click Change
- Click More Settings
- Click the Advanced tab
- Select the Download Shared Folders option
- Click OK, click Next, click Finish, and then click Close in the Account Settings window
Outlook data file cannot be accessed (Error: 0x8004010F)
- Open Outlook “Account Settings”
- At “E-mail” tab, highlight the account with the problem and click “Change Folder”
- Click “New Outlook Data File”
- Give a name for the new data file (e.g. “TEST”) and press “OK”
- Expand the new data file (e.g. “TEST”) and select the “Inbox” subfolder. Choose “OK”
- While at Account Settings screen, click “Change Folder” again
- This time select the correct data file and folder that you want to store e-mail messages and choose “OK”
- Close “Account Settings” and click “Send/Receive”
